OACCUs delegates Svenja Stöven (UmU), Sonia Silva (LIGA), Olga Papadopoulou (CreThiDev) and Ennio Iannitto (LILT) participated in the Young Cancer Survivor Workshop that was organized by European Commission’s Directorate General for Research and Innovation on 15 December 2023 in Brussels. Representatives of pan-European organisations (YCE, CCI Europe, SIOPE) and projects (EU-CAYAS-Net, PANCARE, OACCUs) were invited to brainstorm together with EU policy officers from DG SANTÉ, DG Research and HADEA about 1) possibilities for better collaboration between EU institutions and supranational cancer organisations, and 2) ways for better outreach to and inclusion of local communities of young cancer survivors.
